Shikamaru Takeshita

Currently, most of Shikamaru works are fired in an anagama wood-fired kiln.

He makes both porcelain and pottery pieces.

At the front of the anagama kiln where most of the ashes falls down, he mainly places white porcelain pieces.

Born in 1977, born and raised in Mashiko City. Since he was about six years old, he helped his father with his noborigama wood-fired kiln, so naturally he deepened his knowledge of wood-fired ceramics.

His fondness for pottery from the Kamakura and Muromachi periods influenced him to build an anagama kiln at the age of 22.
