1929 Born in Tokyo, as a second son of Shoji Hamada who was a Living National Treasury
1930 Moved to Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture with the family
1945 Decided to become a potter when he was a junior high school student
1950 Studied Art Craft at Waseda University, and also learned from his father
1963-64 As an assistant of his father, traveled around USA for pottery training session, and on the way back to Japan, stopped by Mexico, Europe and Middle Eastern countries
1970 Held a solo exhibition at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Department (every year thereafter)
1985 Held a three person exhibition with Tatsuzo Shimaoka, Kenji Funaki at Liberty House, London
1986 Flat vase was purchased by Brooklyn Museum in NY, USA
1987 Received a grand prize at Salon de Paris, and became a member
2008 Awarded Person of Cultural Merit of Tochigi Prefecture
2011 Held “Shoji, Shinsaku, Tomoo - Three Generation Exhibition” at JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan Department
2016 Held a “88 years old anniversary” solo exhibition at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Department

Return/exchange and refund
